WISDOM TEETH AND CHANGES LOCALIZED ADJACENT TO TEETH IN THE JAW BONE
Problems with wisdom teeth are common. Swelling, tenderness and restricted mouth opening are the typical symptoms, sometimes with fever and malaise, especially when wisdom teeth erupt. Periodic x-rays of the jaws are recommended in order to detect changes in bone around the teeth and other conditions in the jawbone. Most situations are handled by a general dental practitioner. If necessary we are consulted with the transfer of photos and digital x-rays or the patient is referred to us for specialist investigation.
